Association
Meeting the needs of today’s business
women
Established in 1990, the West Midlands' Women in Business Association (wiba) is one of the premier business women's associations in the Midlands.
It offers an opportunity for business women, managers and entrepreneurs in Birmingham and the surrounding area to network, develop business skills, learn new ideas and share knowledge with one another and leading businesses in the West Midlands.
wiba has been recognised as a professional voice for businesswomen and featured on BBC Radio 4 and 5 and consulted with Government Departments.
Current Chair, Merran Sewell, a solicitor by profession, continues to develop wiba's role as the voice of professional business women offering a supportive development environment for its members.
"2010 is our 20th anniversary which is a great achievement for an independent membership association. We continue to offer value for money to members through our varied programme of business, awareness raising and networking events. Women work in many sectors and can be isolated in their businesses or whilst striving to reach new levels in the corporate environment.
We offer a friendly, supportive and professional network for women at all stages of their careers. We aim to increase online communication for members with special offers from quality partners to enhance our membership offer.
We look forward to welcoming women to our events - whether new, former or long standing loyal members."
