Information we collect from you
We will collect and process information about you that you give us by filling in forms on our site www.wiba.co.uk (our site) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide if you register to use our site, subscribe to our service, book onto or attend our events and if you report a problem with our site. The information you give us may include your name, employer/business name, job title, e-mail address and phone number.
What we do with the information
We use information held about you in the following ways:
To contact you in the future (including via email) to invite you to WiBA events and WiBA-sponsored events
To provide you with information about becoming a WiBA member and registering you as a WiBA member
To provide you with information about us and topics that we feel may be of interest to you
For internal record keeping
To notify you about changes to WiBA and our services
To help us organise relevant events for our members and guests
Contact will be from the WiBA administrator or member/s of the WiBA Committee.
From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you by email or telephone for market research purposes to help us to improve our offer, for example by asking you to complete a survey about our events. You agree that we have the right to share your personal information with the WiBA administrator, members of the WiBA Committee and Eventbrite for the purposes set out in this policy. We will never share your information to other third parties without your consent.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online, for example personal information can only be accessed by members of the WiBA Committee and the WiBA Administrator.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please contact us at email@example.com. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
You have the right to ask us not to process your personal information for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your information) if we intend to use your information for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Act. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act and will be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

We cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such third party websites and such third party websites are not governed by this privacy statement. We use Eventbrite to take event bookings and process event payments. Through Eventbrite we have access to your booking information, including name, email address, organisation and job title. We do not have access to your payment information processed via Eventbrite.
We may use Eventbrite to contact you regarding the event you have booked onto.
