WiBA: Mentoring - All you need and want to know

WiBA is delighted to be hosting “Mentoring – All you need and want to know”. Exploring the important role Mentoring can play in enhancing careers – and life as whole too! As an organisation, WiBA provides a range of informal mentoring opportunities through our events, where there are opportunities to speak with and learn from other attendees' experiences and insights.

Mentoring can also have a more formal role to play and we are delighted to welcome Carolyn Ingram, Learning and Development Manager at Anthony Collins Solicitors – an experienced Mentor and Mentor programme coordinator for Anthony Collins where the role of mentoring is a strong part of the firm's culture, ethos and development.

Through this interactive session, we will explore what Mentoring is – and what it isn't - the different forms mentoring can take, how to be a great Mentor and Mentee and how to enhance your skills. There will be opportunities to explore how Mentoring might make a difference for you – whether as Mentor or Mentee – and how you might start to look for a Mentor or opportunities to mentor.

We are delighted we will also be joined by Julie Boyle from The Girls’ Network (thegirlsnetwork.org.uk), a Mentoring organisation targeting support to #breakthebias and unlock the future of girls and young women, supporting the removal of real and perceived limitations of background, gender and parental income.

Julie will explain more about the Girls’ Network, opportunities to get involved with their work and share some powerful stories of the impact of mentoring on the lives of girls and young women.

This event is open to members and guests with tickets at £5 for members and £8 for guests.
