Join WiBA as we welcome Clare Worgan, Head of Training and Education at Sands, who will be sharing with attendees a taster session of their Workplace Training.

Pregnancy loss and baby loss have a significant impact on the workplace and research suggests that 50% of bereaved parents did not feel supported upon their return to work.

Sands understand that conversations surrounding bereavement, and specifically around pregnancy and baby loss can be difficult, and that navigating legal requirements, can be particularly complicated. Sands’ training is designed to help managers and colleagues understand pregnancy loss and baby loss, find the words to support bereaved staff and navigate relevant employment law.

During the 1 hour session Sands will share more about how they support organisations and staff and their crucial work to make training more accessible to businesses across the UK.

The taster session will explore topics around the impact of grief, communication guidance and best practice and obligations in the workplace including a Q&A session as an opportunity to ask questions surrounding the best way to support colleagues.
