WiBA Regional Outlook with Henrietta Brealey

Join us for an insightful and informative discussion about Henrietta’s role leading the GBCC and an overview of the regional outlook, following 18 months like no other.

Henrietta will be sharing her career journey from joining the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce as a policy assistant in 2012 while completing her studies at the University of Birmingham, to being appointed CEO earlier this year – the youngest CEO in the 208 year history of the organisation.

Holding roles within Policy, Patron Advisory, and more recently Director of Policy and Strategic Relations, Henrietta has been at the forefront of the Chamber’s campaigns around Brexit and the Covid-19 pandemic, acclaimed at a regional and national level. In 2019 she was named as one of Birmingham Live’s Brum 30 Under 30 and this year was awarded an honorary fellowship by University College Birmingham for services to Birmingham.

Alongside membership, events, business support, insights and research the GBCC have a number of strategic partnerships that drive the economic development of Greater Birmingham and inward investment. Alongside an economic overview, Henrietta will share with us more about these partnerships, the breadth of services and campaigns across our region including the opportunities created by the 2022 Commonwealth games.

After hearing from Henrietta we will be opening up the discussion to hear your views on opportunities and challenges our businesses and region faces as we look ahead into 2022.

Open to all, this event is free of charge for members and just £5 for guests. Held virtually over Zoom, login details will be sent to attendees once registration has been completed.
